Tricar is busy again, this time with a new 13 storey, 165 suite rental building to be known as “Westmount Estates 111”. Occupancy is in late 2016. Unit sizes will vary from 700- 1400 sq ft.  Google “305 Southdale Road East, Urban Design Brief” for an overview of the site plan. Sixty three new townhomes will also being going in to the immediate north on this same site.

Are these high density clusters on the outer edges of our city (which unfortunately creates a lifestyle dependent on having an automobile, it’s happening in north west London also) the very best we can do in urban planning and designs? Isn’t it more cost effective for the city to have more new builds in the downtown area?DSC_0021 The look of London’s landscape is changing and so to will be the way in which people living on the outer edges of our city will be interacting with our community.

Brand New Condo Style Units In London Ontario

This is a “Google search heading” sometimes used by out of town people moving to London. “Brand new” is easy living especially in a luxury condominium. It’s the perfect way to go if you are only planning on being in London for a year or so. “Mosiak” now under construction is a brand new “Flats and Soft Loft Apartments” building. These will be rental units.We had to look up the meaning of “Mosiak” and found a reference to a German comic book that sold over 200 million issues.
It’s being built on Sugarcreek Trail in central west London ( next to number thirty in our west end section) and in essence is a continuation of the two “Old Oak” 320 -340 Sugarcreek condo buildings now only a few years old. Modern, new and stylish living with easy access to the university, our major hospitals and downtown. This is the only new low rise condo type rental building of this type now under construction in town. As you can see from the picture it is not quite ready yet.DSC_0013

“The Enclave at Victoria Hills”

Yet another new townhouse complex using the word “Victoria” and this time it is in Ingersoll Ontario just twenty five minutes east of London Oatario by car. On our Ingersoll home page we mention how 2,800 people work at the Cami Plant in Ingersoll building the Chev Equinox and the G.M.C. Terrian crossover vehicles. New vehicle sales are now strong.

Alymer Ontario and Condo Living

Southwestern Ontario is dotted with a number of wonderful small towns, each with a slightly different personality. Alymer, population 7,000 is 20km south of the 401, 16 km east of St. Thomas and 16 km north of Port Bruce on Lake Erie. Having easy access to the beaches, lakeside cliffs and fishing on Lake Erie is for many a welcomed reprieve.
Alymer is known for it’s wildlife management areas, it’s parks, museums, farmer’s markets, fruit farms and gift shops. It’s fair in August has run since 1846. Downtown Alymer has a number of speciality shops which attracts both local and out of town people.
