New Condo Actitivity in London Ontario

Is our recent beautiful weather a late Indian summer or is it now the new norm? Condo builders in London are still busy pouring foundations going into the month of December. Here is a partial list of new projects on the go. All of the pictures are recent.

1)2280 Torrey Pines South. “The Legacy of Upper Richmond”.dsc_0103 This is a project by the”Greystone Group”, the same people who developed “The Sanctuary at Sunningdale West”. This project in “Upper Richmond Village” when finished will have 31 detached upscale condo units.

2) 905 Sarnia Road. Picture #2.The new street names that we know about will include “Manhattan Way” and “West Village Square”. This is a large new project still very much in the early marketing stages. Visit Tribecca townhouse in London online. dsc_0538

3) 3400 Castle Rock Place,    “ll Castle Rock by Rembrandt”Homesdsc_0187 Over 100 new town homes going in as  “phase two” of an existing new project next door. This time there will also be a limited number of one floor models (6). This is a Westmount location facing onto Singleton Avenue.

4) “Morgan Place Urban Towns” on Southdale Road just east of Wonderland Rd. South in the shadows of three of Tricar’s high-rise rental buildings. A project by Johnstone Homes similar in style to what they recently finished out on Coronation Drive. It should sell well.dsc_0184

5)    555 Sunningdale Road East. 30 premium 2 story ravine walkout condos by “Westhaven Homes”. A walking trail and ravine to the rear. This will be an excellent setting.dsc_0089This is only a partial list of what is now happening. Builders are busy building and some price lists are now being revised upwards. Some complexes are enjoying better pre-sales activities than others as not all complexes have winning strategies. Cambridge- “The Grand Condominiums at Waterscape”

What a pretty section of Cambridge be in . 106 units of various sizes, views and prices. These pictures are all a bit random – might Cambridge be a destination worth considering?

A Bayfield Ontario “Condo Like” Project

Google “” .  This attractive “condo like” project which now has 39 units and situated on the south side of Paul Bunyan Road which is just on the south side of Bayfield. Ownerships here are deemed “life leases for people who are  55 years of age” and over. One of the things that this means is that you will never see any of these units listed for sale on the “M.L.S.” system. You are however able to buy or sell these units directly through the builder. This style of an ownership arrangement is more prevalent south of our border than it is in Ontario.

What exactly is a life lease? Well read about it on their website. These units have many special features designed for seniors like cement driveways with walkways up to the front door of each unit with no steps to navigate.

Are these units expensive? When it comes to real estate everything in Bayfield will seem a tad high if you’re coming from the London area. Many of the people who are now moving here are coming from areas like the Kitchener-Waterloo region or the G.T.A. region. Units sizes are typically in the 1,300 -1,600 square foot range. Fresh air, boating and golfing, upscale restaurants, the beauty and peacefulness of Bayfield and new neighbors who are of a similar age. What more could you ask for?
