“Morgan Place Urban Towns”

This is the third time since 2013 that “Johnston Homes” has built a condo complex of this design style. In 2013 they built “The Ridge” at 1850 Beaverbrook Ave (#31 in our “West End” section) and in 2015-2016 they built the “Northcliffe Towns” at 1040 Coronation Drive (#35 in our North West section).

These units, the “Morgan Place Urban Towns” are built in the shadows of three and soon to be four new “Tricar” high-rise rental buildings. Red brick, black shingles, a variety of siding colours including cream, grey, green and taupe. Off white trim, taupe coloured garage doors. Mostly rear vinyl siding with the end units having brick on the lower level. Glass sided balconies, paver block driveways. Some people might find these design styles to be a little bit quirky.

Eleven different model styles. Built in blocks of four and six units and two blocks of seven units. These are typically three level high units with single car driveways. The one exception are the two blocks of seven units each. They are two storey units with a lower walkout level overlooking to the east an area of greenery known as the “Pincombe Park North”. New pathways have been created in this neighbourhood.

Typical unit sizes are 1,443, 1,540, and 1,587 sq. ft. High ceilings, some end units are brighter, that’s to an abundance of side windows. After building out this complex “Johnstone Homes”, then went onto build out the “Callingham Mews” project on Callingham Drive in north London (see our North End #66). These are larger sized units.
